Polaris

A guardian angel who carries herself with an air of ethereal grace. Gentle and soft-spoken, she generally has a calm and level-headed attitude. Although she is quiet, she is very inquisitive and observant, always watching, always listening, taking in as much information as she can. This makes her skilled at reading and understanding people, but her high empathy can be to her own detriment at times. She has a strong sense of justice, but can struggle to be assertive, leaving her in inner conflict.

Middle-tier power level. Primarily, a clairvoyant specialising in divination magic. Secondarily, healing and protection magic.

Once, many centuries ago, she was close friends with Aura and Soleil. However, their chosen lifepaths diverged, and conflicting morals drove a rift between them. While the sun twins joined the war against the demons, Polaris believed in vouching for a peaceful and diplomatic solution. This opinion made her very unpopular, some considered it heretical.

Aura had tried to insist that her skills would be valuable as a spymaster and strategist, but by principle, Polaris refuses to use her scrying abilities in ways that could cause harm. Consequently, her old friend turned on her, accusing her of sympathising with the enemy. This has put Polaris in a perilous position, with a dangerous enemy waiting for the chance to bring her downfall.

• No, she is not able to see the future, it does not work like that, and she is tired of people asking. She can scry the present, and sometimes gets vague premonitions, but fate is not written in stone, and she cannot predict anything with certainty. If anything, she would rather avoid trying, because she believes that making plans based on false assumptions can sometimes be even more dangerous.
• Has a habit of getting lost in thought. Will fall quiet for an extended period of time while thinking about something or focusing. Sometimes will do so mid-conversation, which can cause issues.
• Almost impervious to feeling cold temperatures.

• No one wants to play cards with her because she cheats.
