INTRODUCTION
"I don't want you to protect me. I want you to treat me as an equal. We are in this together."
PERSONALITY
Harriet is known to be someone who often radiates a warm and friendly vibe. Sometimes a tad playfully teasing, but never intended in a malicious way. She is empathetic and kind-hearted, caring deeply for those close to her.
She goes through life with a go-with-the-flow outlook. Always tries to remain positive and hopeful, keeping her head up and seeing the best in a bad situation, taking trials in stride.
However, do not mistake her optimism for naivety, nor her gentleness for passivity. She does not appreciate being underestimated and coddled. She is capable of being relentlessly driven, determined, and tenacious, perhaps to a point some may consider headstrong and stubborn. Rarely backs down from a challenge. She can even a bit of a feisty spitfire at times, if the situation calls for it. She will not hesitate to speak her mind, and is unafraid to stand up for herself or others.

STORY
Harriet had always been a dreamer. Her upbringing was quiet, peaceful, and remarkably uneventful. But despite the mundane, or perhaps because of it, she was fascinated with the idea of supernatural magic, ever since she was a child. Growing older, she found her calling to be pursuing a career studying this. Her sense of ambition fuelled by curiosity, she wanted to uncover the secrets of the world, and find her place in it.
However, she ends up getting more than she bargained for, and that stability she had previously known was turned upside down when her chosen path led her to meet a pair of demon hunters - Eden and Aura.
Turns out, they needed her help. Harriet had been researching the history of the divine weapons, long-lost enchanted artifacts with the power to slay a demon. These were what the hunters sought, and her knowledge was a valuable lead.
So, somehow she found herself involved in their quest. Consequently, she became tangled up in all the chaos and danger that is inevitably involved when dealing with the supernatural first-hand. She was very out of her depth. Such a sudden and jarring shift in her life was admittedly distressing in the beginning. She hated violence, although eventually she became desensitised to it, for better or for worse.
Nonetheless, she initially faced a lot of pushback from the others due to her lack of experience. Everyone warned her to stay away, they warned her it was dangerous. Of course, Harriet understood the risks. But she couldn't bring herself to stand back and do nothing. She wouldn't turn away from the answers she sought.
Nor would she turn her back on someone she cared about. Throughout the events of their adventures together, she and Eden had grown very close. Although they came from very different walks of life, they got along well, finding they shared similar values and passions. She admired his caring nature, and she could not deny that being with him made her feel so comfortable and happy. They knew they could always rely on each other, through thick and thin. Over time, their bond grew into an unshakeable partnership, not just comrades but lovers.
However, she felt misgivings toward Aura, the two never quite saw eye-to-eye. The angel was especially adamant that it was not her place to get involved, and never seemed to appreciate her presence, as if she was not trusted. Frankly, the feeling was mutual.
So it was especially surprising when Aura approached her with an offer. At this point, Harriet had been working with the hunters for some years, also her relationship with Eden had reached a point they were considering settling down together, she had essentially become part of the family. And yet, despite her help in rebuilding, she had never "officially" joined the Order of Demon Hunters. If Harriet was willing to swear the oaths of allegiance, in return, Aura was willing to grant her right of passage to the afterlife - Immortality!
To be presented with such a choice was confronting. It was an incredible opportunity. However, it came with a catch. Harriet would have to sell her soul, and that was not a price she was willing to pay. Especially not to Aura, who had ulterior motives for everything.
So she refused. She decided that she would rather reconcile with her mortality, to make the most of the life she had. She was willing to face the end with her head held high, with her freedom and dignity intact.
But the life of a demon hunter is fraught with danger, she had been dancing with death all along. Unfortunately, this is what killed her in the end. She was never one who believed in standing idly by or backing down in the face of danger. When a demon attack threatened Eden and their young son Josh, without hesitation Harriet recklessly fought back against Carver, sacrificing her own life to save the family she loved.
RELATIONSHIPS
[ ] Harriet's husband. They had quite literally been through hell and back together, but despite the hell they faced, together there was solace.
[ ] (Un)friendly acquaintances. Their relationship is somewhat comparable to mother and daughter in-law who do not like each other but begrudgingly pretend to get along for the sake of keeping things civil. They do not trust each other, and Harriet feels unnerved by her company.
[ ] Harriet's older sister. The two have always been very close and open with each other. Although, conflict could arise at times. Mel had a tendency to be overprotective and critical of her decisions, but Harriet understood it came from a place of well-meaning intentions.
[ ] Harriet's son. Deeply loved and cherished. But she never had the chance to know him.
[ ] Harriet only knew of Carver through reputation. The first time they met face-to-face was also the last.
