ABOUT
PERSONALITY
Harriet is known to be a warm and friendly person, who often exudes a gentle and chill vibe. Sometimes a tad playfully teasing, but never intended in a malicious way. She is empathetic and kind-hearted, caring deeply for those close to her.
She goes through life with a go-with-the-flow outlook. Always tries to remain positive and hopeful, keeping her head up and seeing the best in a bad situation, taking trials in stride.
However, do not mistake her optimism for naivety, nor her gentleness for passivity. She can be rather headstrong, and even a bit of a feisty spitfire at times. Stubborn and fiercely determined, she will not hesitate to speak her mind, and is unafraid to stand up for herself or others.
STORY
There is not much to say about Harriet's past, overall her upbringing was remarkably regular. She was just trying to get by and live a normal life.
However, that stability was turned upside down when she met a pair of demon hunters - Aura and Eden.
Somehow she found herself involved in their quest to recover an ancient lost artifact, a weapon with the power to slay a demon. Consequently, she became tangled up in all the chaos and danger that is inevitably involved when dealing with the supernatural.
She was very out of her depth. Such a sudden and jarring shift in her life was admittedly distressing in the beginning. She hated violence, though eventually she became normalised to it - or desensitised - for better or worse. Nonetheless, she initially faced a lot of pushback from the others due to her lack of experience. Everyone warned her to stay away, they warned her it was dangerous.
Aura was especially adamant that it was not her place to get involved, the angel never seemed to appreciate her presence. Likewise, Harriet also felt misgivings toward her, the two never quite saw eye-to-eye.
However, she and Eden found they shared similar values and passions. He spoke of fighting for hope, to protect others, and it was a calling Harriet found admirable, a worthy cause. Throughout the course of events they ended up befriending each other, and over time the two grew very close.
Of course, Harriet understood the risks. The life of a demon hunter is wrought with danger, one must be prepared to face death. But she couldn't bring herself to stand back and do nothing. She wouldn't turn her back on someone she cared about.
Unfortunately, that mindset is what killed her in the end. When a demon attack threatened Eden and their son Josh, without hesitation Harriet recklessly fought back against Carver, sacrificing her own life to save the family she loved.
"I don't want you to protect me. I want you to treat me as an equal. We are in this together."
